Print and Stitch a Coastal Wall-hanging with Helen Ruth Scarves In this workshop you will join Helen of Helen Ruth Scarves to create your own coastal inspired textile wall-hanging. The session will start with mono-printing pressed seaweed on to fabric to create your background cloth. We’ll then move on to adding texture through hand embroidery and embellishment using found objects and materials, and metallic highlights using textile foil and stencils. You'll be guided through each process including textile printing techniques and some basic embroidery stitches. All materials will be provided but participants are welcome to bring their own beach treasures to personalise their design. When ? Sunday 27th July 10am - 3pm Where?
